Vehicle Description

- Just Sold- This 1963 Chevrolet Corvair Monza is a modified example which was recently purchased by us for our own personal collection. The car underwent a five year refurbishment completed in 2012. Power comes from a rebuilt 164ci flat-six backed by a 4-speed manual transmission, and recent work completed by the us included a valve adjustment, clutch and flywheel replacements, new valve covers, and rebuilds of the four carburetors.
Finished from the factory in Ermine White (936), the body was media blasted and repainted in its current 50th Anniversary Corvette Red under prior ownership and accented with a white soft top.
Custom color-coded smoothie wheels by Wheel Vintiques are equipped with a tire pressure monitoring system, and are mounted with 15? Michelin Defender tires showing 2018 date codes. The suspension and braking systems feature replacement front and rear dampers, links, bushings, sway bar, and tie rods as well as a custom front disc brake kit.
The interior features new black leather upholstery accented with maroon stitching, carpets, and floor mats. Additions include an aftermarket steering wheel, a retro-style modern stereo equipped with Bluetooth and USB connectivity, rear lap belts, and a custom center console equipped with an armrest and cupholder. Accessory instrumentation includes gauges to monitor oil pressure and cylinder head temperature as well as readings for air/fuel mixture with oxygen sensor probes for each manifold. Approximately 2k miles are shown on the 5-digit odometer, approximately 1,300 of which have been added by the us.
The rebuilt 164ci flat-six was sourced by prior ownership from a 1965 Corvair and produced 140 horsepower when new. Further additions include four recently-rebuilt carburetors, an oil pan and valve covers from Otto Performance. A valve adjustment, new battery, seal replacements for the crankshaft, shift shaft, and axles, and fluid replacements were recently completed by the us.  Our repairs included over $4k in parts alone!
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 4-speed manual transmission. A new clutch, flywheel, input shaft seal, and cable kit were also recently installed. In-car driving demonstrations can be viewed here and here.
